Meet the Team

Pilgrim Christian Church is a family, and like a family, each member contributes to the success of our church - from leading our worship services to organizing the mission and vision of our church. Below is more information about the groups that lead our church. While we entrust the mission of our church to these groups, we believe that all members are responsible for the success of the church and the furtherance of building His kingdom. We see the primary job of local church leadership as equipping Christians to do the work of the ministry that God has given each one.

Our Pastor

Dan was raised in a denominational church, but through the influence of his (then future) wife, Deb and her family, accepted Jesus as his Savior in his senior year in high school. Dan and Deb attended Ozark Bible College in Joplin, Missouri, and were married after their freshman year. That same summer Dan began preaching in a small church, and has been pastoring (with a couple of brief breaks) since then - 50 years and counting. Dan holds multiple degrees from Ozark, and a Masters in Biblical Studies from Grace University in Omaha. The couple have served churches in Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, and Nebraska. Dan and Deb came to Pilgrim in 2004, and have grown to deeply love this group of God-fearing, people-loving Christians, and pray for God to work through them for a long time to come! Our Service Teams

Elders

The Elders at Pilgrim Christian Church represent the Executive Committee who shepherds our members, advises our pastor, mentors our Deacons, and governs the strategic direction and financial decisions of the church, with input from its members.

deacons

The men and women of PCC who are elected Deacons are servants of the church. Their role is to care for the physical and logistical needs of the church and its members, including members who are in senior centers or nursing homes and cannot physically join us for services.

vision COMMITTEE

The Vision Committee is responsible for developing a clear vision and long-range ministry plan. While this group does not define the vision, it is their responsibility to lead the process and help discern God’s leading for the whole church. Anyone is welcome to attend these meetings.

WORSHIP COMMITTEE

The Worship Committee organizes our worship services and includes our song leader, pianist, and pastor. Anyone interested in contributing to this work is welcome to attend the monthly meetings.
